We provide researchers the tools and resources needed to effectively simulate and evaluate anomaly responses
To successfully reach Mars, astronauts will need greater autonomy when handling anomalies, as communication delays hinder Mission Control's ability to provide immediate support. NASA requires anomaly simulations to understand human performance in these high-risk scenarios.
Addressing this need, we developed two off-the-shelf tasks and a comprehensive manual to facilitate task evaluation and creation.
how it works
The ecosystem consists of the Manual for Anomaly Simulation Tasks (M.A.S.T.) and two Tasks, which gives researchers a starting point for anomaly response research.
